When you think of meal prepping, what comes to mind? Do you envision lots of Tupperware containers laid out on the counter with exactly the same thing in each one? It doesn’t have to be that way, friends! I believe that meal prepping can help save time, energy and money throughout the week and I’m going to show you how in this short video course.

If you would’ve told me that I would be doing videos, I probably would’ve laughed in your face. Me, on camera? Yeah, right. But, after putting together a comprehensive video course (coming to the website in 2017!), I realized that videos are not only fun, but a great way to connect to my community in an informal and approachable way.

When Skillshare approached me about becoming an online educator through their platform, I didn’t even have to think twice! Well, I kind of did because I was feeling overwhelmed with the projects I already had on my plate, but once I started looking around on the platform, I knew I just couldn’t say no. It was amazing!

So what exactly is Skillshare?

Skillshare is a global learning community for creators whose mission is to provide access to high-quality learning. There are thousands of online classes covering topics such as design, photography, fashion, culinary, music, crafts (hello, holidays) and more!

What I love most about skillshare is that all of the online classes are under 30 minutes and are broken up into short segments, making it really easy to follow along and enroll in several classes at one time.

When Skillshare reached out to me, they sent a few sample videos for me to watch. While I was skeptical at first, I was instantly hooked when I watched this photography class. I made a mental note because I thought I could finally learn how to manually use my DSLR camera… win!

Here are some of the other classes I’m dying to enroll in:

Introducing my first Skillshare class: The Basics of Meal Prep!

The first time I tried meal prepping, I quickly became overwhelmed, started to dread my Sundays in the kitchen and got bored with the one-pot wonders I was making. Sound familiar?

But as life has gotten busier and I’ve had less time to spend in the kitchen ensuring that my husband and I have healthy meals for the week, I decided to take another stab at it. And truth is, I don’t know why I didn’t revisit it sooner!

I’ve not only seen how just a little bit of meal planning and prepping can make a difference in my own life, but I’ve seen the positive impact it has in my clients’ lives as well. While it might seem cumbersome at first, it can quickly become a part of your routine. The feeling of knowing your meals are already planned for and prepped is worth every bit of time spent on the front end.

So exciting, your first Skillshare class! I guess my biggest struggle when it comes to meal planning is just figuring out what I what or should to make. Cause sometimes I will plan my meals out for the week, and then I'm not even hungry for that option when that particular day rolls around.

Hi Valerie - Thank you! I can totally relate to that struggle. I often juggle around my meals I've planned to suit what I feel like and how much time I feel like spending. But, at the end of the day, I don't want food to go to waste, so I end up making all of them!
