My Calling

The day I decided that I was going to pursue health coaching was a monumental day. The day I signed up for the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) was forever life-changing, and I didn’t even know it then.

People often ask me why I decided to become a health coach and my response is simply, “because it gives me the platform to be able to carry out what I feel called to do in life”. This calling is one where I help people discover the potential for transformation within themselves and lead them towards a more confident, energized and brighter life.

My journey towards becoming a health coach has been one of several twists and turns, but I believe that the life experiences and jobs I had leading up to now have better equipped me for the journey ahead. It’s never too late to pursue your dreams or calling. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, there’s never a “perfect time”. The time is now.

My Journey Towards IIN

Truth be told, I didn’t really know what I was getting into when I decided to pursue health coaching or what this new career would look like in the future. What I did know was that I wanted to be doing what I saw others doing and was confident that enrolling in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition would be my first step in getting there.

Being able to study under some of the leading experts in the health industry, such as Dr. Frank Lipman, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Walter Willett and many others has further enhanced my knowledge of wellness and nutrition and my passion for making a healthy impact in the lives of others. Not only has the education far exceeded my expectations, but the community that comes through IIN is simply invaluable.

They say that work shouldn’t feel like “work” if you’re doing what you love, and I never really knew what that meant until now. I am working harder than I ever have before, but yet it is so rewarding when I see and hear the impact I’m making in the community around me.

Here’s what a day in the life looks like…

I spend time in the kitchen creating and styling recipes for my blog and menu plans. I’ve partnered with local restaurants to help them design a healthy and innovative menu to better serve their customers. I’ve created a video-based educational course that I offer to partnering corporations as a part of the services that I offer. I’ve published several e-books, including the Meal Prep for Success Plan and the FitLiving Eats Cleanse. And my favorite part of all… I counsel clients one-on-one to help them achieve their health goals!

But I’m not done. In fact, I’m just getting started. Enrolling in IIN has allowed for my dreams to become a reality and the opportunities to be endless. I will soon be offering small group cooking classes, producing cooking demo videos for my online audience and am already thinking about my first wellness-inspired book (that of course, will include lots of healthy recipes!).

IIN has changed the course of my life and has given me the platform to achieve the things I once only dreamed of.

If you’re passionate about nutrition and wellness, but aren’t sure if health coaching is right for you, feel free to reach out! I would love to talk with you more about my experience and help answer any questions you might have.
