Are you a fan of green smoothies or does the vibrant green color make you turn up your nose? Green smoothies have become a huge hit in the world of wellness and it doesn’t seem like this trend is going away any time soon. Whether you’re a newbie to the idea of a green smoothie or a novice when it comes to blending greens, I’ve got a delicious and healthy roundup of 25 green smoothies for you to try!

Green smoothies hold a very special place in my heart (and health) as they were the gateway to jumpstarting my journey towards finding foods that fueled my body, mind and most importantly, energy levels.

As I was beginning to dive deeper into the world of wellness and nutrition, and the idea that “food is medicine”, I knew I needed to make some changes in my own lifestyle. I no longer wanted to feel as if I was dragging at work and hated the fact that I fell asleep on the couch at an early hour most nights before heading to bed.

I wanted things to be different and I wanted to feel different, and so I turned to foods that would fuel my body with the proper nutrients to give me sustained energy throughout the day.

Because my husband needed to be on board with the changes, I knew I couldn’t do anything too drastically too quickly. And so, I was introduced to the green smoothie through the Simple Green Smoothies 30-Day Challenge.

If you are wanting to make healthy changes but you aren’t quite sure where to start, I highly recommend participating in this challenge. They provided smoothie recipes for each week with a shopping list that made it easy to follow and left little excuses for not participating. All you have to do is go shopping and blend!

Since the challenge, green smoothies have become a regular part of daily life, especially since they are an easy way to get your greens in without having to eat salads for breakfast, lunch and dinner! My Lime in the Coconut Green Smoothie is also one of the first recipes I shared on this blog. That tells you just how obsessed I was with these nutritional goldmines!

  1. I heard about that challenge on a podcast recently. Sounds like a great way to get started on a healthier course for a lot of people. We love green smoothies. My favorite combo of all time is unsweetened almond milk, banana, spinach and vanilla whey protein powder. It is so good and only 200 calories.
